Visas
Spain is one of 26 countries located within the Schengen Area. Citizens from any Schengen State, including all European Union members (except the United Kingdom and Ireland), Iceland, Liechtenstein Norway and Switzerland need a valid national identity document or passport.
Nationals of all other countries must present their passports upon entry to the Schengen Area. Passports must have been issued within the last 10 years and must be valid for at least three months following the expected exit from the Schengen Area.
Nationals of certain countries (see below) must also be in possession of a valid visa, long-term visa or residence permit issued by Spain or any other Schengen State upon arrival into the Schengen Area.
Citizens of any other country not covered on this page should not require a visa.

Foreign Nationals Requiring a Visa
There are a number of countries whose citizens are required to have a valid current visa in order to enter Spain.
These are: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Comoros, Congo, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, São Tomé and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Swaziland, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, The Gambia, Togo, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Other Visitor Requirements
Foreign nationals holding a valid visa or residence permit may travel through the territory of Schengen States for a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period, provided that they are in possession of a valid passport or travel document, that they justify the purpose and conditions of their intended stay, substantiate having sufficient means to support themselves for the duration of their intended stay in Spain, and that they can prove they are not threat to public health, public order, national security, or international relations of Spain or of other States with which Spain has an agreement to this end.

Furthermore, visitors must not appear on the national list of alerts for refusal of entry of the Schengen State in question.
Invitation Letter
An invitation letter for visa purposes can be obtained through the IFC’s Global Debt Mobilization Conference website by checking the relevant box during registration.
If the invitation letter is not sufficient to obtain a visa from your local embassy or consulate, AIM Group will be pleased to send a personal invitation upon request. Once participant registration fees have been paid, letters of invitation for spouses, children and other guests accompanying the participant may also be provided upon request.
An invitation letter should not be considered as an offer of financial support and does not cover fees, accommodation, travel expenses or other costs related to conference participation.
